THIS is not the episode to listen to just before I go on a shopping trip.... I kept asking myself WILL THIS GIVE ME JOY with every fabric I looked at.... DID NOT come home with what I needed.
ReplyDeleteI want to go thru organizing at various phases in my life.... right now waiting for DD and GdS to move into their own home this summer. ... then watch out .... I will be able to see what I own so I can make the decisions to keep or get rid of ... then things might actually stay where I put it off.....
Great book reccomendations. I added a few to my list. I'm curious where your pronunciation of Myfanwy came from? Author? The name is welsh where the f usually makes a v sound. It would be Muh-vahn-wee (or something like that) in Welsh. So just curious if that was an author thing.
ReplyDeleteYours was the third recommendation in a week for Marie Kondo's book - a sign for sure. I'll be downloading it tonight when I get home!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it has taken me this long to comment on your podcast! So sorry. As I have told others just call me #podcastdeliquent.
ReplyDeleteI think my two favorite Susanna Kearsley books are Winter Sea and The Rose Garden. I did like A Desperate Fortune, especially the present day characters, but I felt like something was missing. I do always want more of her story when I finish one of her books, so it could have just been that feeling.
I recently read a book set in Scandinavia called The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and disappeared. There was some action, but it all seemed to be much gentler than a true thriller. Have you read it?
