What We're Reading This Month

Like last year, February will be filled with several romance reads for me. Samantha (age 7) is all over the place these days, and gets bored with a series rather fast. So, at bedtime, she is reading 15-20 minutes on her own, then I am reading to her from a favorite picture book. Maddy is all about Minnie Mouse and Doc McStuffins, and I picked up a few $3.99 readers recently. She loves them!

Me:

by Nora Roberts (on sale 3/25, I am reading an advance copy)

Unleashing Mr. Darcy by Teri Wilson

Rush by Maya Banks

Samantha (age 7):

A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon

Maddy (age 3):

What are you reading this month?

  1. I don't know if I can stand another take on Pride and Prejudice. PLEASE tell me Mr. Darcy is the dog's name at least!

Can't wait for Shadow Spell - my mom and sister and I are all hooked on the series.

    1. LOL, I hear ya on the P & P remakes. This one is a "special request read" by the publisher and author. It's been getting very good reviews though! Hmmm, may have to help y'all out on Shadow Spell when I'm done ;)

  2. We have all sorts of reading going on in our house. My oldest (10) is well into #5 of the Harry Potter series, the middle child (8) is reading whatever floats his boat at the time - lately I have seen him with his book about flags from around the world, and my youngest (5) loves all books. She actually just asked tonight to go through her books with her because there are lots she hasn't seen lately. So cute. I am into one called Girlbomb.

    1. Oooh, will have to check Girlbomb out, thanks! And my girls like to go through their books every once in awhile too - we always "find" some new ones we haven't read in a long time.

  3. Hi Tanesha, Just wanted to let you know I really like the book reviews you give in your podcasts. I listen to audiobooks when I am driving and just finished your recommendation of The Rosie Project. Loved it. Thanks!!

  4. Fun to see your book choices. I'm saving the Fannie Flagg for the car ride up to the Puyallup Quilt show at the end of the month. Are you on Goodreads.com? A fun way to interact with other readers.

  6. I loved reading A Bad Case of Stripes to my students when I was teaching! Currently reading Time's Witness by Michael Malone. It's the second of a mystery series he wrote in the late '90s and I do recommend reading them in order. I think Malone deserves to be a better known writer. I loved his Four Corners of the Sky which is a love story.
