What I'm Reading This Month

So a new year has begun, and for me that means looking forward to all of the great books due to be published. I have set my Good Reads 2013 Reading Challenge goal at 80 books....I may update it mid-year depending on how many books I'm averaging a month.

Now for someone whose job it is to read a lot of books, make in-store placement decisions on them, and give feedback to publishers, 80 may not sound like a lot. This is my personal reading goal, not all the other stuff I have to read or skim through on a daily basis.

So here is what's on my list for this month:

The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
on-sale 2/26/13, I am reading an advance copy

A Spoonful of Sugar by Brenda Ashford
on-sale 4/2/13, I am reading an advance copy

Off the Menu by Stacey Ballis

Waking Up in the Land of Glitter by Kathy Cano-Murillo

The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty

What are you reading this month?

  1. I know I should be commenting on my reading goals but what I really want to talk about is the potholder on the cover of "Off the Menu". I need to make some of those! So handy and super cute! Thanks for sharing......hehehe

    1. Yes, my Mom has a few of these she bought awhile ago. They can be kind of "tricky" taking stuff out of a double oven, where the top one is high. It's great for moving hot dishes around a table though!

  2. Also important to note is what we'll be watching this month. My husband just told me Downton Abbey starts Sunday night! Enjoy!

  3. House at Riverton. I already read it (with my eyes), but am now listening to it on audio. I am getting a lot more out of it on audio. I finished _The Grand Sophy_ already this year and _A Town Like Alice_ and _The Secret Keeper_ just before the New Year. Not sure what is next. I am tempted to listen to a Susanna Kearsley book on audio again. There isn't a lot by her on audio though she does have a big back list that is available on Kindle.

    1. I plan to read The House at Riverton (via audio) too soon. I also have The Rose Garden (correct title?) in my Audible queue....which is very long LOL.

  4. A Spoonful of Sugar by Brenda Ashford is simply wonderful. It was like listening to the sweet, old, British grandmother you never had as she told you stories and taught you about life. I wrote down so many quotes from this book as I read it! Many lessons on parenting, without being a parenting book.
