Announcing the 2013 CGM UFO-Along!!
Come one, come all craft UFOs!! All types of craft UFOs welcome (quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, jewelry, etc...)
Join the Flickr group, post your FINISHED UFOs there and be entered for a monthly prize.
Prize for January: $25 Gift Certificate to Fat Quarter Shop!!!

You can enter as many FINISHED UFOs as you want each month.

Only 1 entry per UFO, but you can post multiple pictures of each one so we can see it from various angles.

To qualify as a UFO the project must have been started in a previous month to the one you are entering. i.e. if it is January, you should have started it in December or earlier, not in January - that's a WIP!

You can win a prize more than once in the year as your photos stay up all year. However, you cannot win 2 months in a row. i.e. if you win in January, you can't win again until March.

Keep posting all finished UFOs all year long because you never know, there just be a big grand prize at the end of the year for the most # finished!!!!

Most important "rule": HAVE FUN FINISHING YOUR UFOs! If it isn't fun anymore, it's probably time to just let it go.

  1. Heck, I'll play along! I don't have a lot of UFOs but they're starting to stack up a bit as I get distracted by shiny-thing-new-projects. This will be my motivation!

  2. I looked at your list of books, and I didn't read any of them. Either we have very different taste, or I'm missing some good reads.

  3. Think I'll play along! I hope to get a lot of tops quilted, bound and done!

  4. I'll join you too. I have several projects than need to be completed.

  5. Joined the UFO Along! I have 4 quilts in various stages of finishing. I am happy to have something to motivate me! Hope to post some pics soon!

  6. Great podcast! I'm definitely going to join the UFO-along.

Thank you for your top reads of 2012 list - I've added them all to my library request list.

  7. Your UFO quilt-along ties in nicely with the UFO challenge project that my local quilt shop is sponsoring throughout the year.

For the quilt shop challenge, each UFO project and each UFO kit project had to be listed along with what stage the project was in and the year the project was started. The list had to be turned into the shop so they can compile each person's list in a data bank. As the item is completed a photo or the item has to be taken into the store and shown to the shop staff. For each item completed there is a small prize and at the end of each quarter a lucky person gets a prize of a larger value, then at the end of the year there is also a prize. The end of year prize is still to be determined.

I do appreciate the incentive to get my projects completed since I have accumulated a number of UFO over the past several years.
