What I'm Reading This Month

I got a bit behind last month and still need to read Next to Love. And when I think about all I have going on in September (EVERY weekend is already full of activities!) I think I'll keep my list short and commit to getting through 2 books waiting patiently on my nightstand:

Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close

The Dovekeepers: A Novel by Alice Hoffman
on sale 10/4

What are you reading this month?

  1. I just started listening to your podcast, and I love it! I'm looking forward to catching up to the current episodes in the next couple days. I LOVE to marathon it! :-)

  2. Hi Tanesha
I just finished Room (audiobook - great!) and The Memory Keepers Daughter.

I like to hear that you want to review Diana Gabaldon's books. I read through to the 6th in the series, which took me about 6 months - they are so huge, and wandered around kind of lost when I was done. So, I had to start over and read them all again. By the time I was done, the 7th book was out, and I rushed out to buy that the first day! She really knows how to tell a story!

  3. My nightstand has been tapping it's feet waiting for me to get off the Kindle and pick-up a non e-book for once. I am going to read, The Moon at Midnight, the last book (I think) in the Chestnut Tree trilogy by Charlotte Bingham, a British author.

  4. I am half way through Ann Pachette's, State of Wonder and I love it.

  5. @Sherryquilts: that is a great book!

@KellyV: I will have to check her out, I enjoy BritLit.

@Colleen - can't believe I hadn't thought of Diana Gabaldon until now, I so enjoyed the Outlander books. I will admit I "pooped" out by the most recent 2 of them though - they're so long and I have so many books to read, lol. I also think this would make an awesome HBO series though! I'd watch for the Scotland scenery alone.

@Daisy: congrats on your new podcast, I just listened to the first episode - great job!
