Last weekend my daughter and I did a little decorating for Christmas. She loves doing crafts but since she's still young (not quite 4 yrs old) we're limited on what she can do all on her own, so she can work alongside me as I craft too. Luckily for us "crafty moms", it seems the craft stores have a much wider selection of easy projects little ones can do. And my wallet is happy many of these items are found in the $1 aisle! There are the simple color-in-the-ornaments like these:

And I just found these cute mugs where kids color in the pictures...great for "personalized" hot chocolate breaks!
Sam has had so much fun doing these, she wants to do one everyday....good thing I stocked up during the after Thanksgiving sales, and used my coupons! (I found all of the above items at Joann Fabrics and Michaels) And while she was working on her crafts, I had time to make this new wreath for the front door:
